The CNN TV channel resumed its broadcasting in Russia, which is ensured by the satellite provider “Tricolor TV”.

      This is reported by TASS referring to the representative of the company Turner Broadcasting owning the channel. CNN started to work in Russia on Wednesday, April 29. “The broadcasting is carried out without advertising in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation” - the representative of the holding told. The fact that the channel was allowed to broadcast was announced in late March.

      From January 2015 the CNN International channel returned broadcasting to the Russian territory. The owner of the channel explained his decision by the latest changes in Russian legislation in the field of mass media. Until the termination of broadcasting in the Russian Federation CNN broadcasted as a part of the license of the satellite provider “NTV Plus”.
