The American corporations Google and eBay, as well as the Chinese marketplace AliExpress, will store the personal data of the Russians on the servers located in Russia. This was reported by the head of Roskomnadzor Aleksandr Zharov at the meeting of the agency’s board according to “Interfax”.
He said that representatives of Roskomnadzor conducted a series of meetings with businesses on this matter. “As a result, such companies such as eBay and AliExpress have already agreed to comply with the requirements of the Russian legislation” – Zharov said.
“As far as I know, Goolge also intends to comply with these requirements.” In addition, within the framework of implementation of the new law that will take effect in September, Russia plans to create a register of violators of the rights of the subjects of personal data, as RIA “Novosti” reports. According to the instructions of the Head of Roskomnadzor, the register is to be created until August 15 of this year.
