The Patriarch’s Office is going to counter the fake web pages in social networks, when their owners pretend to be Patriarch Kirill. It was told on the radio station “Russian News Service”, according to the Head of Information-Analytical Department of the Synodal Department of the Russian Orthodox Church Vakhtang Kipshidze.

      “If you try to find the Patriarch’s page in “VKontakte” you will be surprised at the number of fake web pages, the owners of which present themselves as the Holy Patriarch. There are about 200 pages. We are not satisfied with this situation”- Kipshidze stressed. However, according to him, the Russian Orthodox Church has not yet decided what to do with the fake web pages. “We think about it” - the employee of the Synodal Department said. Kipshidze also added that Patriarch Kirill has his pages in Facebook and in the Orthodox network “Yelitsy”. The Head of the Russian Orthodox Church does not keep his accounts, they are managed by a special department.
