Flashmob in Memory of Maya Plisetskaya

Ballet troupe of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet House held a flashmob to commemorate Maya Plisetskaya.

As is reported on the theater site, more than 30 actors of the ballet troupe wearing costumes of the Swan Lake ballet danced a part of the ballet on the theatre steps and then stood still for a few seconds making letters of the legendary ballerina’s name — MAYA.

“The dancers paid tribute to the memory of great Maya Plisetskaya” — the message reads.

The theater’s press service added that along with Novosibirsk such a flashmob took place on the platform in front of the Mikhaylovsky Theater in St. Petersburg.
