Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky will take part in the opening ceremony of the Indian Culture Festival.
The ceremony will take place in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
As the press service of the Russian Ministry of Culture reports, the festival will be opened with the Bahukone choreographic program by the Kadamb ensemble under the leadership of Kumudini Lakhia. Kadamb is a renowned dance group that enjoys great popularity in India and abroad.
The festival will run in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Svetlogorsk, Yessentuki and Kislovodsk in the Stavropol Krai, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa and Astrakhan from May to November.
The visitors will see performances by Bollywood Enchanting Spectacle (in Svetlogorsk and Kaliningrad), Natya Stem Dance Kampany under the leadership of Madhu Nataraj (in Moscow and Astrakhan) and Soulmate headed by Rudolf Vallangi (in Kislovodsk, Yessentuki, and Rostov-on-Don).
Muscovites will have a chance to see the Bharat Folk Art Academy headed by Raghav Raj Bhatt as well as enjoy works by Indian photography artists.
