The sales of LTE-devices made up 45 percent of the turnover of the Russian market of mobile devices in monetary terms in the first quarter of 2015. This was told to “Lenta.Ru” by the “Svyaznoy” Company following the results of the market research.

      A year earlier the share of this type of devices amounted to only 32 percent in monetary terms. In the first quarter of 2015 Russia has sold 980,000 devices with LTE function support for the sum of 25 billion roubles.

      The growth of sales made up 7 percent in quantitative terms, as compared with the previous quarter, and 19 percent in monetary terms. The company analysts pointed it out that this segment showed growth despite the general decline at the mobile market.

      The majority of the sold LTE-devices - 85 percent of them – are smartphones. Their sales increased by 28 percent in monetary terms – up to 856,000 devices, as compared with the fourth quarter of 2014, the sales growth amounted to 40 percent - 21.5 billion roubles.
