The Russian computer technology developer MCST announced that they began to take orders for computers based on the domestic microprocessor “Elbrus-4S”. The sales are open only for legal entities, as the company said on its website.
The personal computer “Elbrus ARM-401” is based on the same quad-core microprocessor “Elbrus-4S” and is offered for the equipment of workplaces, organization of information terminals and microservers. It is noted that this computer, as well as its server modification, is suitable for use in companies with increased requirements to information security. The rack server “Elbrus-4.4” is based on four microprocessors “Elbrus-4S”, as well as one or two controllers of peripheral interfaces for connection of external devices. The server supports up to 384 GB of RAM, which makes it suitable for the organization of web servers, database servers, storage systems, servers of remote desktops and high-performance clusters.
