Ex-vocalist of Rainbow and Deep Purple is giving a rock concert in Sevastopol today, May 19.

The musician was warned: his trip to the Crimea might be dangerous; but nevertheless he made it, despite of the threats of banning his future concerts in Europe.

“Yes, I was said that it might be dangerous. They also tried to frighten me that after this concert I would be prohibited to perform in Europe. However, I have always been and I am a rebel and I pay no attention to such things. I have come to the people, who are same fans just like anywhere else around the world. I don't play music for politicians. Music unites the world”, - Joe Lynn Turner emphasized.

He said Sevastopol to be one of the most beautiful cities in Russia. He even enquired whether it is cold there in the winter. “I was told that it isn't really cold. So it is an excellent place to stay. This city is very open and cheerful. In the morning I woke up to the sounds of music and children’s laughter” – the musician added.
