The lawyers of the businessman Sergei Polonsky appealed against his arrest in Cambodia and hope that deportation will not happen. This was told by the businessman’s defender Sergei Vladi on Saturday, May 16 during an interview with “Kommersant FM”. “We have already appealed against the arrest and assume that there’ll be no deportation”- Vlady said in an interview with the radio station.
Earlier on Saturday a source of “Interfax” told that Polonsky “might be deported and it would be implemented in the near future”. The interlocutor of the agency said that a group of staff of the Prosecutor General and the Interior Ministry was then staying in Phnom Penh and was going to accompany the businessman. On Friday, May 15 the former lawyer of Polonsky Aleksandr Dobrovinsky reported on the arrest of the businessman in Cambodia. Later this information was confirmed by the current defender of Polonsky Slavik Brsoyan.
