Elena Kamburova Awarded Crystal Turandot

The renowned Russian singer and actress Elena Kamburova has won Crystal Turandot, the first theatrical award of Russia.


      The People’s Artiste of Russia has been distinguished in the most honourable nomination For Long and Valorous Service to the Theater.

      The awards ceremony will take place in the Moscow Academic Vakhtangov Theatre on June 18.

      Crystal Turandot is the first non-state theatrical award. It was initiated by the producer, stage director and patron of arts Boris Belenky in 1991.

      Among the winners there were such masters as Pyotr Fomenko, Mark Zakharov, Alexander Abdulov and others.


      Elena Kamburova is the People’s Artiste of Russia, the holder of the State Award of the Russian Federation, and the art director of the Moscow Music and Poetry Theater.
