Russia Is Threatened By a Budget Crisis In 2016

The Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Bella Zlatkis warned that in case of mass writing-off of debts of troubled borrowers Russia is threatened by a budget crisis in 2016. It is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.Ru” from the annual meeting of shareholders of Sberbank.

Zlatkis feels skeptical about the calls of some agencies addressed to state banks to write off the debts. In her opinion, it will increase the pressure on the budget that is already high. Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Energy urged the state banks to write off the debts of the Crimean solar power plants. The total amount of writing-offs should reach 45 billion roubles. This is the amount they owe to Sberbank, VTB and the Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs.
