The Lumiere Brothers Photography Center will hold James Hill’s exhibition Between War and Peace.
The British photographer and journalist James Hill has been taking pictures in trouble spots for nearly twenty years now.
His works capture the pain of war: here is both Chechnya and Beslan, both Afghanistan and Iraq.
James Hill's photos on events in Afghanistan got the Pulitzer Prize 2002 in the nomination Genre Photo, whereas his series about war in Iraq got the NPPA 2003 in the nominations The Best in Photojournalism and The Best News Reporting on the Internet. His photo report about Beslan gained James Hill the first World Press Photo award in the General News section.
The exhibition will run in the Lumiere Brothers Photography Center from June 10.
