Large-scale Reconstruction Of the Triumphal Square

Moscow authorities have begun a large-scale reconstruction of the Triumphal Square, RosBusinessConsulting reported. They want to turn the area into a symbolic place for citizens.

Improvement project was chosen during the architectural competition. The winner is architectural bureau BUROMOSCOW.

Currently, preparatory works are being held there.

The monument to Vladimir Mayakovsky will remain in the same place. BUROMOSCOW concept assumes that Triumph Square will become completely pedestrian,  while the territory will be divided into noisy and quiet areas. The main elements of landscaping of the area will be pavilions with cafes, an information center and park swings. The new pedestrian area will be lighted with street lamps posts.
