108 Municipal Beaches Operate In Sochi

"108 municipal beaches are now receiving holidaymakers. Each of them is equipped with the necessary infrastructure, rescue service staff and CCTV,” the press service of the Sochi administration said. 6 more beaches were beautified for the new holiday season.

"Tourists have noted Olympic beach, which is located in the Imereti Lowland, as one of the finest marine zones," the representative of the city administration said. According to him, a year ago, Olympic beach was wild. It was landscaped before Olympics: 6-kilometers long shore was backfilled with select pebbles, there were put chairs and thatched umbrellas. Divers have collected debris from the sea bottom, studied the bottom topography and measured the depths. The medical and rescue assistance is available on all the Sochi beaches.
