Special car carriers are coupled to de lux trains plying on Moscow – Adler and St. Petersburg – Adler routes, so that passengers can travel to Sochi by train together with their cars, Russian Railways website reports.

The cost of car transportation depends on the vehicle weight, on carriage type, on the number of passengers travelling in the train and also on the ticket type: whether it is one-way or round-trip. The minimum cost of transporting a vehicle from Moscow is estimated at 4920 rubles, while the fare for transporting a car from St. Petersburg will be 6460 rubles. In this case, the passenger must fill out a special application within the period from 45 to 5 days prior to departure. The request can be made either on the Russian Railways official website or in the luggage department counter. At that, it is necessary to pay for the ticket not later than eight hours before departure.
