Nearly 800 million rubles have been allocated by the authorities for restoration of the nearly burnt Novodevichy Convent in Moscow.
It is reported that the funds will be used for repairing its towers and walls, as well as several chambers.
Following the decision of the Culture Ministry of the Russian Federation, 800 million rubles will be ascribed from the state budget to restoration of the recently burned convent in Moscow.
It is a reminder that the belltower of the Novodevichy Convent was on fire on the night of March 15. According to reports of the RF Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire spread over the area of 300 sq m and destroyed wooden constructions. The fire was completely localized within three hours.
It is noted that the allocated funds will be used for restoration and repair of the belltower walls and towers, in particular the Irininsky Chambers (101 million rubles), Lopukhinsky Chambers (21, 7 million rubles) and Pogrebovs’ Chambers (14 million rubles).
