The wooden pavement of Krivoy lane that existed on historical schemes was found during excavations in the Moscow Zaryadye.
"A wooden pavement designating the route of Krivoy lane known by historical schemes was found deep in the cultural layer of XVII century during excavations in the place of the future “Zaradye” park” - the Deputy Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the capital Leonid Kondrashov siad. According to him, the participants of archaeological works also found copper coins, a variety of small sculptures, heel plates probably lost by the inhabitants of Zaryadye in Krivoy lane.
The archaeological works preceding the construction of the underground structures of the future park area “Zaryadye” held in the areas with good preservation of the cultural layer discovered four excavation sites with a total area of 500 square meters. The areas where the cultural layer was previously damaged by communications excavations are being investigated by archeologists in an observation mode.
