The regional Ministry of Tourism implemented a project of installing 28 tourist signs in Kaliningrad for the convenience of travel and navigation. During the course of designing and manufacturing of the structures they took into account the best Russian and foreign experience. The design of tourist signs was developed with allowance for the perception of Kaliningrad as a city with a unique historical and cultural heritage. All elements are made of high quality materials and have corrosion protective coating. The maps are located in the busiest areas of Kaliningrad and are placed at a comfortable height, including for people with disabilities.

The map of the regional centre has indications of the main tourist attractions, bus stops, cafes, hotels and other important tourist objects of urban infrastructure within 15 minutes of walking distance. In order to facilitate the movement and visits to tourist objects, the tourist’s location is marked on the map (“You are here”), and the direction to the nearest objects is also shown. A green icon “I” notes the places where the tourists and city guests can get the latest information about the tourism potential of the city and the region.
