The bicycle track at the section of the road from Nikitsky to Chistoprudny Boulevards has opened in Moscow, its total length makes up nine kilometers.

      “The total length of the track will amount to about 9 kilometers, the projected number of cyclists on it is at least 10,000 people per day. The project is being implemented without a major reconstruction and additional investments. As it was noted earlier, the road map of traffic will not change. The placement of the bicycle track is performed by changing the width of the existing traffic lanes and the general optimization of space” - the press service of the capital Department of Transportation and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure reported.

      The bicycle lane is being created within the framework of the annual plan of works for changes in the layout of streets performed on the basis of the newly developed project of traffic management. The project of launching a pilot project of the bicycle lane and traffic management in the area of the Bulvarnoe Ring Road is based on giving equal opportunities to all traffic participants.
