Olesya Nikolayeva (born 1955), the author of a book of verses and several novels, has taken the Poet Award and $50 thousand.
      
      She is one of the best poets of today, - says Alexander Kushner, chairman of the award jury and laureate of the 2005 Poet Award.
      
      This year the jury considered the works of ten aspirants, the names of which are kept secret.
      The winner is elected in the course of a secret voting of the jury consisting of the members of the guardianship board of the Society for Encouragement of Russian Poetry.
