The corporate design of the “Sokolniki” park will be selected among Russian graphic designers by an open competition. The best project submitted to the competition will be implemented already in August 2015. The winner will become the park’s partner in the implementation of a new identity.
An open competition for the development of a corporate design and key elements of the park’s identity started on May 19, 2015. A total of 211 design teams from different cities and towns of Russia have registered for the competition today. Only 97 applications were accepted. The designers have been working on competitive proposals for almost two months. And the result will be known on July 30: a brand book of the park will be a basis for new posters, maps, navigation, souvenirs and advertising materials of the “Sokolniki” park. The winner will be selected on July 29, 2015 by the jury involving the leading Russian experts in the field of graphic and environmental design, territorial marketing, art directors of major media projects, as well as architects – the authors of the development concept for “Sokolniki”, the authorities of the park and the city.
