The cost of a Schengen visa will not change after the introduction of procedures for processing the biometric data of Russian visa applicants, the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze explained to journalists.

According to her, the maximum visa fee is also determined by a special agreement, and visa centers are not going to increase the fee.

"It's clear enough that there will be some reduction in number of tourists, despite all the allegations that the new procedure is very simple. Therefore, a price increase of visa will lead to further reduction in demand, which European countries do not want to have", - stressed M. Lomidze.

The procedure for registration of biometric visas for Russians traveling to the Schengen countries will be introduced on September 14, 2015.
