Russian scientistis have created a unique hi tech capsule for examining the gastrointestinal system.

      

      According to the press service of Rosatom, developers of the MIFI National Nuclear Research University have invented a capsule, which is intended for health screeninig of the entire digestive tract.

      

      The unique invention named Landysh (i.e. Lily of the valley) is already planned to be produced on a massive scale for applying them in Russian hospitals.

      

      The capsule Landysh / Lily of the valley is equipped with a battery, a transmitter, a color video camera and software, which makes it possible to recieve and study the data obtained by the little capsule.

      

      One capsule works for 8 hours. During this time it passes through the digestive tract and monitors its condition.

      

      Thanks to this invention, the procedure of inspecting the alimentary canal will become pain-free and comfortable.
