According to meteorologists, hot weather will come to Moscow on next weekend, which would entail a possible increase in temperature at the stations of the Moscow Metro. In this regard, twenty metro stations will renew the experiment of natural cooling of the air temperature starting from August 7, according to the press service of the Moscow Metro.
For this purpose the doors to the metro will be open all night through.
The experiment will continue at the stations: “Sokol”, “Aeroport”, “Tverskaya”, “Kuzminki”, “Mendeleyevskaya”, “Savelovskaya”, “Dmitrovskaya”, “Timiryazevskaya”, “Petrovsko-Razumovskaya”, “Chkalovskaya”, “Leninsky Prospekt”, “Rechnoy Vokzal”, “Belyaevo”, “Novye Cheryomushki”, “Profsoyuznaya”, “Akademicheskaya”, “Ryazansky Prospekt”, “Tekstikshchiki”, “Mendeleyevskayya” and “Dmitrovskaya”. A similar experiment has already been conducted since the beginning of June and is considered a success.
Following the results of monitoring, it was established that the temperature at the stations and entrance halls decreased by an average of 8 degrees. In case the temperature at the stations rises above 28 C and persists for more than two hours, the service of the Moscow Metro will distribute bottled water and wet wipes among passengers.
