Garden Ring Museum in Moscow is holding the exhibition World Literature as Viewed by Costume Designer.
The exposition consists of art works created by graduates of the Art Faculty of the VGIK, the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography.
It is already the third generation of graduates of the studio Cinema and TV Costume Designer.
Visitors will see paintings and graphic art works inspired by stories from the world literature. There will be costumes of queens and their noble knights, as well as footwear, crowns and other accesories of bygone crowned heads. Studies and sketches by film artists are also part and parcel of the show.
The exhibition runs from August 5 to August 28 and is dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia.
