The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin appointed Igor Komarov the General Director of the “Roscosmos” state corporation. This was reported by the Kremlin press service on Wednesday, August 5.
The President Vladimir Putin also approved the composition of the Supervisory Board of “Roscosmos” by another decree. This Board will be headed by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. The Supervisory Board also includes the presidential aide Andrei Belousov, the Head of the state-legal department of the Kremlin Larisa Brycheva, the General Director of the Foundation for Advanced Studies Andrei Grigoryev, the Head of Rosatom Sergei Kiriyenko, the General Director of “Rostekh” Sergei Chemezov, the Chairman of Vnesheconombank Vladimir Dmitriev, the Commander of the Space Forces – the Deputy Commander of the Air Space Forces Aleksandr Golovko, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development. The Board also includes Komarov himself, due to the fact that he has become the General Director of the “Russian Space Agency”.
