Elena Obraztsova Music Academy Opened in St. Petersburg

The International Music Academy of Elena Obraztsova has been opened in St. Petersburg, the press service of the city administration reports.

      According to the St. Petersburg governor Georgy Poltavchenko, who participated in the opening ceremony, the life and creativity of Elena Obraztsova has been closely associated with this city. This is where the well-known opera singer founded the International Competition of Young Opera Singers and her cultural center.

      The academy is headed by Elena Obraztsova's daughter Elena Makarova. It will offer full-time courses and traning by correspondence, as well as workshops.

      There will be courses in vocal (academic, variety and jazz vocal), choreography, fine arts, and acting.
