Opening of the PALEOPARK will be celebrated in the Darwin Museum, Moscow, from 11 am to 4 pm on August 22.
This unique new museum project acquaints modern Russians and tourists with prehistorical dwellers of this country. Visitors will get a chance to fall into the persona of a mammoth hunter and dinosaur tamer, carry out mini-excavations and compete in a dino trivia game, get a closer look at paleontologic antiquities and help Paleopark's inhabitants to find their relatives in the 21st century.
On August 22 the museum visitors will be taken to the era of prehistorical water and land giants that once occupied the lands of modern Russia. Full-scale models of Amurosaurus and Kileskus, Estemmenosuchus, lobe-finned fish of Panderichthys, huge amphibious Mastodonsaurus and legendary Mammoth have settled in front of the Darwin Museum.
The opening ceremony will start at 12 am and the museum specialists staff will conduct a free tour about life of ancient giants for all comers.
