The new exhibition Travel across Plotinka. Historical - Sverdlovsk - Modern has been opened in the Museum of Yekaterinburg History.
The exhibition tells visitors about the glorious three-century history of Yekaterinburg downtown. Among the exhibits there are unique photos from state funds and private collectionsþ Lots of them had a miraculous escape and are displayed for the first time.
A part of the exposition is dedicated to the Soviet era, and a remarkable place is taken by ancient drafts with descriptions in Swedish of the 18th - 19th centuries. Dozens of photos will plunge visitors into the past and feel the spirit of the Urals as the Gold Miner, the Urals as the Smithy of Russia, and the Urals as the homeland of semi-precious stones.
More than 70 representatives of museum community and cultural elite of the city, as well as journalists, local collectors and foreign guests took part in the opening ceremony.
