The unmanned aerial vehicle developed by RTI “Aerospace Systems” and the Ural Plants of Civil Aviation is to be presented at the MAKS Aviation and Space Salon.
“We will demonstrate the process of information exchange with our plane developed jointly with the Ural Plants of Civil Aviation at MAKS. There are no Russian analogues to our UAV” - the General Director of the Moscow enterprise Dmitry Podaryashchy said.
According to him, the machine can be used for surveillance, monitoring and rescue of people and is able to replace the Mi-8 helicopter and its analogues for performance of such works. The drone’s weight ranges from 10 kg to 1.5 tones, and it uses diesel engines contributing to fuel economy. The drone is being tested before the international salon; its batch production will begin two years later.
