New Animation Museum to be Opened at ENEA

The Soyuzmultfilmilm Studio plans to open its own animation museum in the territory of ENEA (aka VDNKh), Moscow.

An enormous collection of dolls, scenery and sketches of the legendary animated film studio will be moved to one of the premises at the ENEA.

The Soyuzmultfilm administration aims at founding an animation school in the new museum as well, for all comers to have an opportunity to train  skills of animated filming.

It should be noted that moving the museum to a new place is the last choice. Shortly the present premises of the museum will be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Presently the The Soyuzmultfilmilm Studio is actively searching funds for implementing this large-scale project. According to preliminary data it will take about 160 million rubles to repair the pavilion for the would-be museum.
