During the Eastern Economic Forum, Senior Managing Director of the Japan International Cooperation Bank Tadashi Maeda said that his country offered Russia to use the yen instead of the US dollar in the calculations in order to minimize business risks.
"We offer our Russian partners to explore the possibility of using the yen as an additional currency" - "RIA Novosti" quotes the words of Mr. Maeda. In turn, First Deputy Chairman of VEB Andrei Sapelin commented that Russia was considering that idea: "We are developing tools to protect the investment from the influence of third parties together with our partners."
