N. P. Akimov International Theater Festival 'Long Live, the Comedy!' is held in St. Petersburg.

      Theatrical companies will give a range of performances on various stages of the city. Among them are the famous plays, such as Plague on both Your Houses staged by the Moscow Drama Theater under the leadership of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Outsider Child, The Village of Stepanchikovo and its Inhabitants after Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

      Famous and popular St. Petersburg theaters and actors are taking part in the festival.

      In addition to that, theaters from Armenia and the Czech Republic will show their stage productions as well.

      The festival runs till September 14.
