Within five days crowdfunding has gained millions of rubles to Aquarium — one of the oldest Russian rock bands — for its new album.
The band's frontman Boris Grebenshchikov announced the fund raising campaign on September 1, 2015.
By now the band has raised over five million rubles on the Internet for recording its new songs.
"One can listen to the music on Internet free of charge. However resources are required for recording it. Sound recording does not bring in returns any more" — the musician pointed out.
The key goal of this crowdfunding project was raising three million rubles. Within two days the band receieved the amount required. However, the fans of Aquarium still go on transfering money.
The fund raising will last for 108 days more.
