A monument dedicated to the heroes-motorists was opened in the Russian capital.

      The architectural ensemble is located on Lenina Avenue near the “Troparevo” metro station. The centre of the composition is the figure of a motorist. He leans on the steering wheel; and the bottom part of the monument presents the stages of the transport development. The author of the monument is the sculptor, People’s Artist of Russia Aleksandr Rukavishnikov. The architect of the project is the Honored Architect of Russia Igor Voskresensky.
