The 2nd International Conference 'Great Names of Russian Emigration: Writers of the Russian Abroad' will be held in the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn from October 19 to 21.
The conference is organized by the East Slavic Philology Institute at the University of Warmia and Mazury and the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad.
The cycle of philological meetings Great Names of the Russian Emigration was started in 2014 with discussion of the personality and creativity of Ivan Bunin, the first Russian Nobel Prize winner in literature.
The 2nd conference will be dedicated to writers and poetesses, esseists and memoirists of the Russian abroad: Marina Tsvetaeva, Zinaida Gippius, Nadezhda Teffy, mother Maria (Skobtsova), Nina Berberova, Irina Odoyevtseva, Larissa Andersen, and others.
Philologists, translators, historians and culturologists can take part in the conference.
