Some employees of the “Gazprom” company, including top managers, covered their smartphones with the photo taken in 1982 depicting Soviet gasmen who write “your sanctions will not succeed, Mr. Reagan!” on the pipeline Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod, according to RIA “Novosti”.

According to the CEO of “Gazprom Expo” Sergei Kalityuk, the idea to release the accessories with the design originated from the employees after the announcement of the introduction of the US and EU sanctions against Russia over the situation in Ukraine. Their test batch has been released, but in the future one cannot exclude a purchase of a larger batch. “The main objective of the idea of using this photo on our covers was to show that “Gazprom” was not discouraged, we already had sanctions in our history, and just like then, an enormous work on large projects is being conducted now, despite any restrictions” – Kalityuk stated.
