Moscow to Celebrate Music Day in 100 Venues

On October 1 Moscow will take part in celebrations of the International Music Day.

      Concerts will be held in music schools, cultural centers, concert halls, parks, and libraries of Moscow. Everywhere the program will start at noon.

      The central events will be open-air concerts by soloists of the New Opera theater in the Hermitage Garden, the VIA Tatyana band in the MUZEON arts park, where the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theater will present the premiere of its opera Aladdin's Magic Lamp.

      Famous musicians will give free concerts in Moscow parks, as well as in the exhibition centre Worker and Collective Farmer.

      The International Music Day is traditionally celebrated on October 1. It was established at the initiative of the UNESCO International Musical Council 30 years ago.
