Russian mass media spread the news that Mikhail Gorbachev, the only president of the Soviet Union, was hospitalized. It said that the politician's health deteriorated on the night of September 28.

      Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev officially confirmed that he is in  hospital. As he said, his health went downhill last night and relatives were compelled to seek doctors' help.

      It should be noted that this is not the first hospitalization of the only president of the Soviet Union during this year. In the middle of July the politician was partially paralyzed, and repeatedly taken to hospital with aggravations.

      Mikhail Gorbachev was born in 1931, and is going to turn 84 on March 2. His colleagues are seriously worried about his health and visit him in the hospital.
