Today saw the first-ever session with the International Space Station in Kostroma.

      Right from the orbit the Russian astronauts Mikhail Korniyenko, Oleg Kononenko and Sergey Volkov talked to the general public in Kostroma.

      The communication session lasted for 20 minutes. The astronaut Sergey Revin, the Hero of Russia, answered questions of school students, their parents and teachers for much longer. Her arrived in the city specially for the World Space Week. Right after the questions and answers session Sergey Revin and numerous participants of the program lay the foundation for the Astronauts Avenue in the Victory Park of Kostroma.

      Along with the guest of honour, school pupils and teachers from several regions of Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara and Yakutia also took part in laying the Astronauts Avenue.

      Other events of the World Space Week  include presentation of educational projects, lectures, master classes, exhibitions, and evening sessions in planetarium observatories of Kostroma.
