The Federal Tourism Agency and the authorities of Yakutia intend to promote diamond tours - excursions to the region, including on the account of the purchase of jewelry for a certain amount. Tourists will be also able to visit the jewelery factories in the region, see how gems are being cut and the jewelery is being produced.

The Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov told that on September 4, 2015 the Agency had concluded an agreement with the Head of Yakutia Yegor Borisov, according to which the regional authorities intend to promote the diamond brand of the region at the international level, attracting the world stars. According to Oleg Safonov, they will be looking for creative approaches in this issue. “The customers who want to buy the product have to see how diamonds are processed: it should be explained how everything is done and assembled” - he says. “The destination of diamond tourism is very promising”. Now you can go to Greece for free if you buy a fur coat costing not less than certain price in the country - this offer is in demand. Diamond tours can be promoted under the same conditions, as the Yakutia manufacturers confirm.
