Russia Might Take Part in Chinese Lunar Program

Moscow and Beijing consider the possibilities of Russia's assistance to the lunar program of China.

      It also regards participation of Russia in creating the Chinese moon rover. This was reported by Dmitry Rogozin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

      As he stated after a sitting with the Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, Russia and China also discuss the possibility of organizing joint scientific researches with the help of this equipment.

      Dmitry Rogozin pointed out that practical decisions will be taken only after the final approval of the federal space program, which will be considered in November, 2015.

      He also mentioned that a fundamental target consists in establishing "a very powerful, competitive group of remote sensing satellites".
