The new award will be given for outstanding creative achievements in preserving and developing Russian folk art traditions.

      The Soul of Russia will also be awarded for educational activities promoting national culture.

      Fifteen awards of 100 thousand rubles will be handed in to outstanding figures in the nominations Folk Music, Folk Singing, Folk Craftsman, Traditional Folk Culture and Folk Dance.

      This year the winners are heads of folk groups from the Moscow Region, the Leningrad Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Vologda Region, the Belgorod Region, Kalmykia, Mordovia, Udmurtia, the The Zabaikalye Territory, Yakutia, Karelia, Dagestan and other regions of Russia.
