Vladimir Solntsev, the official head of the RSC Energy, has declared that the Russians will land on the Moon before 2030.
This was stated at the 66th International Astronautical Congress held in Jerusalem.
Vladimir Solntsev emphasized that exploration of the Earth' natural satellite is on the top of the agenda among the piloted projects of Russia. Russian experts are focused on creating a new generation transport spacecraft. In the nearest future development of other elements required for implementation of lunar projects will be started.
As for the subject of Mars colonization, also discussed at the congress, the head of the RSC Energy expressed the opinion about the impossibility for the mankind to carry out space flights beyond the red planet. It is a reminder that the expedition to the Mars will be launched in 2020.
