The renowned Russian film director Nikita Mikhalkov turned 70 today, October 21.

      

      His son Artem Mikhalkov has shot a  documentary film about his father. TV viewers will have an opportunity to watch it soon.

      

      "It took me half a year to make the documentary specially for the father's anniversary. We will watch it in the family circle on his birthday" — Artem Mikhalkov said to RIA Novosti.

      

      According to Artem Mikhalkov, he asked his father questions and received quite unexpected answers to them in the film. All the family members took part in the documentary.

      

      Nikita Mikhalkov will publicly celebrate his anniversary on October 23. It will be an evening with his friend, the composer Eduard Artemyev. The evening Territory of Love. Sentimental Journey across Nikita Mikhalkov's Films through Eduard Artemyev's Music will take place in the House of Music, Moscow.

      

      "There will be a symphonic orchestra and a great number of people who we are working with" — Nikita Mikhalkov announced.
