Book Illustration Festival to Run in Moscow

Leading children's publishing houses, modern artists, writers and book illustration experts will come together for the first time at the festival.

      The 1st Book Illustration Festival "Mors" will be held in the ARTPLAY design center, Moscow from October 23 to October 25. It will bring together more than 150 illustrators from various regions of Russia and abroad.

      According to the event organizers, their main objective is "to show children's book  illustration as independent art, which is of great importance for harmonious development of the child". Moreover, they intend to demonstrate to both parents and children, as well as publishers that there are interesting modern illustrators in Russia, and draw public attention to illustration of children's literature.

      As the official site of the festival reports, over 20 lectures, master classes, children's workshops, meetings with the leading Russian and foreign illustrators, and presentations of book novelties will take place at the festival on these three days.
