International Animated Film Festival to Run in St. Petersburg

The best prize-winning animations  will be screened at the 13th international animated film festival Multivision in Saint Petersburg.

      The festival will be started on October 24, 2015. Animated films meant for people of various age categories will be demonstrated in several movie theatres of Saint Petersburg. The viewers will watch about three hundred animated films that are prize-winners of various European animation festivals.

      According to St. Petersburg culture committee, about a hundred movies will take part in the competitive program of the film festival. The professional jury will estimate works in the following nominations: the Grand Prix; the best story; the best visual imagery; the best animated film for children; the best animated film by children; the best experimental animation; the best student's film; the best video installation; special prizes and nominations.

      Film directors from Holland, Germany, Japan, Korea, Britain and a number of other European countries will treat Petersburg public with their works every weekend for a whole month long. The festival screenings will run in the movie theaters Chayka and Rodina, as well as the museum Erarta and the loft project Etazhi (aka The Floors).
