London has nearly stopped the political dialogue with Moscow in the face of the situation in Syria and Ukraine.
This was reported by the Russian Ambassador to Great Britain, Alexander Yakovenko on October 26.
"Practically all political contacts were cut short at the initiative of the British" — Mr. Yakovenko said.
According to him, it concerned, first of all, the two countries' top officials: The top-level political dialogue between the leaders was reduced to nothing".
Mr. Yakovenko specified that the new stage of relationship crisis became clear after he met the political director of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Simon Hess.
As reported earlier, in the summer of 2015 Moscow authorities accused London of deliberately putting obstacles for the Embassy of Russia in Great Britain. Diplomats accused Foreign Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Great Britain of causing a delay in issuing visas to the officials the Russian Foreign Ministry.
