Production of four medicines for AIDS and HIV will be started in Russia from 2017.
It was announced by the head of the Russian Health Ministry, Veronika Skvortsova. Russian pharmacists will work on four major types of preparations, which are of vital importance for AIDS and HIV patients.
It is a reminder that Mrs. Skvortsova declared at a medical conference in Moscow in July of this year that Russian physicians are developing a vaccine for preventing the disease at the early stages of infection. Clinical trials are presently underway. It is planned to create such anti-virus preparations, which will be fully made in Russia.
It was reported earlier that, according to experts, domestic medicines for HIV are not cheaper, than foreign ones. However, according to the import substitution program, these preparations will be more accessible and affordable to the patients in need in this country.
