St. Petersburg will welcome the largest number of tourists from the Russian regions during New Year’s holidays.

      “The main destinations of domestic tourism during the New Year’s holidays in Russia will become the cities of St. Petersburg, Sochi, Moscow and Kazan” - the Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Sergei Korneev said, listing the cities according to the expected number of tourists. “A slightly smaller number of tourists will be interested in the Crimea” - he added. According to him, the load of the hotels in the four cities will be close to the maximum. “The hotels in Sochi will be occupied by 100%”, - Korneev stressed. The flow of domestic tourism in Russia will increase up to approximately 15% this year.
